Lori Leonard joined The Carpenter Health Network’s leadership team in 2022. With over 25 years’ experience in the healthcare industry, Leonard is responsible for Regulatory Compliance across all service divisions of The Carpenter Health Network. In her role, Lori develops and implements processes to ensure program integrity with both state and federal guidelines. This also includes those set forth by Regulatory Agencies and Managed Care Operations. Additionally, she is responsible for strategic planning for proactive measures to promote continued survey readiness, risk mitigation, as well as performance of open and closed audits which drive ongoing performance.
Lori’s knowledge and experience provides balance between operations and compliance. Leonard has also served as Chief Quality Officer and Risk Manager for a multitude of operations including Inpatient Hospitals both large and small, Long Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTAC), Critical Access Hospitals, Home Health and Hospice. Her experience in multiple facets of the healthcare industry is beneficial to all service divisions of The Carpenter Health Network.
Lori began her career in healthcare in 1993 as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She attended Nicholls State University and University of Phoenix to further her education in Healthcare Administration. Leonard has received certifications in Healthcare Quality, Case Management, Risk Management and Patient Safety.
In addition to several certifications, Lori’s knowledge and passion for Healthcare Quality is demonstrated by her accomplishments throughout her career which include winning the Capstone Quality Award for Outstanding Healthcare Delivery, numerous Quint Studer Awards for top performing scores in Patient Satisfaction and Quality Improvement. She has also been recognized for her leadership in a local publication of Women in Healthcare in 2017.
