Rarely in your life do you meet someone who has a great impact on you as well as so many others. Stephen Speeg, MD was one of those people. They make everyone they touch feel like the most important person in the world.
Dr. Speeg served St Joseph Hospice and The Carpenter Health Network as Chief Medical Officer for 4 years. Specifically, he served the individuals of The Carpenter Health Network; as each felt so valued after every interaction with “Baloo”, as his grandkids lovingly call him. Always armed with a Boudreaux and Thibodaux joke or a hand to hold, this man calmed the world and painted upon it a huge smile!
So, as we mourn the loss of our lifeline, we pray for the beautiful family he left behind. Donna, Jeremy, Shannon, Kristin, and Alyssa; when you hear that your Husband or Dad was a great man, stop and soak it in because it’s so true. So true. We have been so blessed that he came to us when we needed him most! But, isn’t that what he always did?
